Kharagpur (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Dinen Roy of the AITC won the Kharagpur assembly seat, defeating Akshay Khan (SUCI(C)), Avijit Roy (IND), Barsha Mahapatra (Amra Bangalee), Manmatha Nath Dolai (IND), Sk Sajahan Ali (CPI(M)), Sujoy Ghosh (IND), Tapan Bhuya (BJP), Ujjal Mukherjee (INC).

In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Dinen Roy, Bharatiya Janta Party Tapan Bhuya, Communist Party Of India (Marxist) Syed Saddam Ali and others. In the last Kharagpur Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Dinen Roy won by a margin of 36,230 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Tapan Bhuya was the runner up securing 73,497 votes.

The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,15,952, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
