Kanthi Dakshin (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Arup Kumar Das of the BJP won the Kanthi Dakshin assembly seat, defeating Ajitesh Pahari (IND), Biswajit Jana (IND), Hiralal Mirdha (BSP), Masud Mallik (INC), Rafikul Islam (SUCI(C)), Raj Kumar Sheet (IND), Tapas Kumar Adhikari (IND), Tarun Kumar Jana (AITC), Teheran Hossain (CPI).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – Bharatiya Janta Party Arup Kumar Das, All India Trinamool Congress Jyotirmoy Kar, Communist Party Of India Anurup Panda and others. In the last Kanthi Dakshin Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janta Party party’s Arup Kumar Das won by a margin of 10,293 votes. The All India Trinamool Congress’s Jyotirmoy Kar was the runner up securing 88,184 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,16,913, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
