Itahar (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Mosaraf Hussen of the AITC won the Itahar assembly seat, defeating Dilip Kumar Barman (IND), Utpal Das (CPI), Tufan Baraman (IND), Tapan Kumar Das (SUCI(C)), Swapan Kumar Ray (IND), Saidur Rahaman (Bhumiputra United Party), Sahanawaz Ali (IND), Amal Acharjee (INC), Firoj Alam (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Khitan Barman (IND), Mohasin Ali (IND), Sabita Barman (BJP), Mosaraf Hossain (IND), Mahatab Ali (IND).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Mosaraf Hussen, Bharatiya Janta Party Amit Kumar Kundu, Communist Party Of India Srikumar Mukherjee and others. In the last Itahar Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Mosaraf Hussen won by a margin of 43,975 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Amit Kumar Kundu was the runner up securing 70,670 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,18,591, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
