Howrah Uttar (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Umesh Rai of the BJP won the Howrah Uttar assembly seat, defeating Chandra Kanta Jaiswal (IND), Ganeshlal Gupta (National Republic Party Of India), Gautam Chowdhury (AITC), Gautam Ray (CPI(M)), Gautam Verma (IND), Harinaarayan Chowdhary (IND), Monoranjan Polley (IND), Om Prakash Jaiswal (INC), Priti Devi (BSP), Shankar Kha (IND), Sisir Samanta (IND), Soumen Manna (IND).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Gautam Chowdhuri, Bharatiya Janta Party Umesh Rai, Communist Party Of India (Marxist) Pawan Kumar Singh and others. In the last Howrah Uttar Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Gautam Chowdhuri won by a margin of 5,522 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Umesh Rai was the runner up securing 66,053 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,05,663, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
