Howrah Madhya (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Arup Roy of the AITC won the Howrah Madhya assembly seat, defeating Amajit Basu (IND), Aparna Bose (INC), Arijit Nandy (IND), Asif Hussain (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Biplab Kumar Mandal (BJP), Debasish Ghorui (IND), Debnath Kundu (BSP), Imteaz Ahmed (CPI(M)), Renu Prasad (IND), Saikat Ram (IND), Sankar Mondal (Bultu) (Bharatiya Nyay-Adhikar Raksha Party), Sharmistha Das (IND), Shrirup Das (SUCI(C)), Subrata Mondal (IND).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Arup Roy, S/o Late Prabhat Roy, Bharatiya Janta Party Sanjay Singh, Indian National Congress Palash Bhandari and others. In the last Howrah Madhya Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Arup Roy, S/o Late Prabhat Roy won by a margin of 46,547 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Sanjay Singh was the runner up securing 65,007 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,51,112, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
