Howrah Dakshin (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Nandita Chowdhury of the AITC won the Howrah Dakshin assembly seat, defeating Abhijit Banerjee (CPI(M)), Amit Chakraborty (IND), Avijit Das (IND), Avisek Das (IND), Deepshikha Bhowmick (INC), Madhusri Ghosh (IND), Pabitra Biswas (IND), Rajesh Kumar Singh (IND), Rita Ghoshal (SUCI(C)), Samir Bachar (IND), Shyamal Kumar Hati (BJP).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Nandita Chowdhury, Bharatiya Janta Party Rantidev Sengupta, Communist Party Of India (Marxist) Sumitro Adhikary and others. In the last Howrah Dakshin Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Nandita Chowdhury won by a margin of 50,569 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Rantidev Sengupta was the runner up securing 66,270 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,78,680, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
