Harischandrapur (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Md. Matibur Rahaman of the AITC won the Harischandrapur assembly seat, defeating Bhudeb Das (IND), Efrajul Hoque (BSP), Kishor Sharma (IND), Md Oliur Rahaman (Rastriya Aam Jan Seva Party), Md. Serajuddin (IND), Mohd. Tafazzul Haque (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Mostaque Alam (INC), Musaraf Hossain (SUCI(C)), Phatik Kumar Das (IND), Ratan Das (BJP), Sk Khalil (CPI(M)).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Tajmul Hossain, Bharatiya Janta Party Md. Matibur Rahaman, Indian National Congress Alam Mostaque and others. In the last Harischandrapur Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Tajmul Hossain won by a margin of 77,473 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Md. Matibur Rahaman was the runner up securing 45,054 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,38,558, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
