Goalpokhar (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Md Ghulam Rabbani of the AITC won the Goalpokhar assembly seat, defeating Masood Md. Naseem Ahsen (INC), Md. Ghulam Sarwar (IND), Md. Nazir Akhtar (All India Majlis-E-Inquilab-E-Millat), Nabin Chandra Singha (SUCI(C)), Raghu Nath Singha (IND), Sarajit Biswas (BJP), Shambhu Lal Roy (Swaraj India), Sunil Biswas (BSP), Towhid Ahmed Khan (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Zamaluddin (All India Forward Bloc).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Md. Ghulam Rabbani, Bharatiya Janta Party Md. Ghulam Sarwar, Indian National Congress Masood Md. Naseem Ahsen and others. In the last Goalpokhar Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Md. Ghulam Rabbani won by a margin of 73,514 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Md. Ghulam Sarwar was the runner up securing 32,135 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,15,676, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
