Ranchi: Chief electoral officer (CEO) K Ravi Kumar on Tuesday directed officials to ensure the completion of voter mapping from the previous intensive revision voter list by June 15 across the state.Chairing a review meeting for SIR, he said, “If voters are incorrectly mapped, such voters’ lists will appear as cases of anomalies, on which the electoral registration officer (ERO) will be required to pass orders after conducting hearings. Such voters will also have to undergo the SIR process similar to unmapped voters. Efforts should be made to contact every voter on the unmapped voters’ list, and simultaneously, voters in this list falling under the categories of absent, shifted, death, duplicate, and non-citizen should also be identified.”Booth level officers (BLOs) will begin door to door visit from June 30. The final publication of the voter list will be done on October 7 after the ERO disposes of claims/objections.
