Ranchi: High court advocate Rohitashya Roy has been appointed the new advocate general (AG) of Jharkhand on Sunday.Principal secretary-cum-legal advisor, law department, Neeraj Kumar Srivastava, issued a notification to this effect on Sunday evening, saying that Roy has been appointed the AG from the date he assumes office till further order.He said that the resignation letter submitted by the outgoing AG Rajiv Ranjan on Sunday was accepted with immediate effect.In another notification, Srivastava said that additional AG (AAG) Achutya Keshav has been promoted as senior AAG.
