Ranchi: A 32-year-old man was arrested for allegedly hacking his 60-year-old father to death after he refused to give him money at Haratand around 2 am on Wednesday, police said.The accused was identified as Kamal Sahu and the victim as Govind Sahu.Airport police station officer in-charge Pankaj Sharma said, “According to preliminary investigation, Kamal demanded his father for Rs 2 lakh, which his daughter had asked him to keep. When he refused, an altercation broke out. In a fit of rage, Kamal picked up a spade and struck his father multiple times on the head. The elderlay man was taken to the Rims, where doctors declared him brought dead.”Family members informed police and Kamal was arrested from his house.
