Army camp treats 2,500 patients in 4 days

Times News Network| SanjayRanchi: Around 2,500 people underwent check-ups during the four-day mega eye care camp ‘Drishti 2026’, organised by the Indian army at military hospital Namkum from June 16 to 19. Moreover, a total of 393 eye surgeries were successfully conducted during the camp.The Army informed that among the beneficiaries were veterans, veer naris, military families and local residents of Ranchi and surrounding tribal areas.During the camp, expert medical teams provided comprehensive eye examinations, advanced diagnostic investigations, specialist consultations, and sight-restoring treatments to patients. The state-of-the- art machines were also airlifted to Namkum for diagnosis of patients.Addressing the concluding session of the camp, minister of state for defense Sanjay Seth stated that Indian Army not only fights the enemies in the battlefields but also comes to rescue of people during natural disasters.
