Sahibganj: In a shocking incident, a 30-year-old school teacher was arrested on Friday for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl inside a school hostel premises in Jharkhand’s Sahibganj district.According to Barhait Police Station Officer-in-Charge, Chandan Kumar, the arrest was made following a formal complaint lodged by the victim’s mother a day prior.The police acted swiftly upon receiving the report, tracking down the 30-year-old teacher and placing him under custody.The complaint stated that the inicident took place on June 15 inside the hostel of an English-medium school.The child’s parents only came to know about the assault two days later.Following the mother’s complaint, a case was registered and the accused was arrested, while the girl has been sent for medical examination, the police officer said.Further investigation is currently underway.(With PTI inputs)
