Chatra: A woman of Uraili village in Chatra district died of a suspected snakebite after she mistook the bite as that of an insect and failed to seek immediate medical help, police said on Thursday.“Ranju Kumari was bitten in the early hours of Thursday when she had gone to a nearby field. She returned home and went to sleep without informing anyone. She was found unconscious in the morning and was rushed to the community health centre in Hunterganj, where doctors declared her dead. Doctors found snakebite marks on her leg,” said her husband, Ravi Kumar Yadav.Hunterganj police station officer-in-charge Prabhat Kumar said, “The body was sent for postmortem and later handed over to the family.”
