Ranchi: Ranchi-based regional passport office (RPO) on Monday announced that a service counter has been added at the post office passport seva kendra (POPSK) in Jamshedpur in order to offer better passport services to citizens.With this, the number of service counters has increased from two to three. Also, the POPSK has been relocated within the post office premises and renovated.“With the operationalisation of the third service counter, the daily appointment capacity has increased from 90 passport and 10 police clearance certificate (PCC) appointments to 140 passport and 10 PCC appointments. Hence, the total daily appointment capacity has increased from 100 to 150 appointments,” the RPO in an official statement said.“This initiative will help applicants from Jamshedpur and nearby areas get appointments more easily and receive passport services faster,” it added.
