Dumka: The ACB on Thursday arrested Anand Kumar Bhardwaj, head clerk – in charge at Saraiyahat circle office, for allegedly accepting a Rs 5,000 bribe from a man for settling a land dispute.Bharadwaj demanded money from Deepak Das of Mandaldih to forward an inquiry report on his land dispute to Dumka sub-divisional officer.“After verifying the complaint, our team laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe. We remain committed to taking strict action against corruption in public offices,” said an ACB official. Bharadwaj has been booked under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
