Bokaro: Two men were arrested for alleged sexual assault on a 15-year-old girl in the district on Sunday, police said.On Sunday evening, the minor girl’s mother lodged a complaint with the local police station alleging that the accused persons forcefully tried to undress her when she had gone to a pond near her house. “The accused spotted the minor and tried to undress her forcefully. When she resisted and raised an alarm, the accused fled the scene,” Bokaro SP Harvinder Singh said.Upon her return, the girl narrated the incident to her mother. The duo then approached the nearest police station and lodged a complaint. “An FIR was registered under Sections 70(2)/62 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and relevant sections of the POCSO Act. The suspects were identified and were arrested in raids which were carried out on Sunday night itself,” the officer-in-charge of local police station said.The duo confessed to the crime. Police have seized the bike used during the incident, along with two smartphones.
