Dumka: An alleged cyber fraudster was arrested by cyber police from Kurwa area in Jamtara district.Police said accused Nasruddin Ansari, a resident of Panchrukhi village in Deoghar district, used to travel to Jamtara to target victims by posing as a bank representative. He would offer assistance, claiming their credit cards were getting blocked.During the process, he persuaded victims to download a malicious APK file on their phones, enabling him to access their confidential credit card information to carry out fraudulent transactions, police said.“During a search, Rs 4 lakh was recovered from his bag, which appears to be proceeds of cyber fraud,” said Amit Kumar, DSP (cyber police), adding they are ascertaining the quantum of the fraud.Fake SIM cards were also seized from him, police said.
