Jamshedpur: A 22-year-old alleged molestation accused was assaulted by a crowd, garlanded with shoes, and paraded in East Singhbhum district on Monday, police said.Sources said the accused was caught by local residents after a seven-year-old girl cried out for help after being reportedly molested by the accused when she was alone at home. After being alerted, the area residents gathered and allegedly assaulted the molestation accused before parading him in public, sources added.No complaint has been lodged yet. Police have initiated suo motu action after learning of the incident.The survivor and her mother are also untraceable. Efforts are under way to trace the survivor, her mother, and the molestation accused. Further action will be in accordance with law, police said.
