Student dies, jawan hurt as bike hits pole in Deoghar

Dumka: A student of Dumka Polytechnic College was killed when his bike lost balance and hit a pole in Deoghar on Monday. An army jawan, who was riding pillion, sustained serious injuries.Deceased Shishir Kumar (25) was a resident of Nonihat village under Jarmundi police station limits in Dumka. He was returning from the home of his maternal grandparents at Gidhni village under Jasidih police station limits in Deoghar. He was accompanied by his uncle and an army jawan, Deepak Kumar (30).The bike carrying Shishir and Deepak lost balance and hit a police next to the road near Diggi village under Mohanpur police station limits in Deoghar district on Monday.“My grandson was returning home on bike with his maternal uncle, Deepak Kumar (30), an army jawan. The bike lost balance en route and crashed into a roadside pole,” Shishir’s grandfather, Rajendra Kapri, said.Both the injured to Deoghar Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared Shishir dead on arrival. Deepak was admitted to a private clinic in the city for treatment.Mohanpur police said a case was registered in the incident.
