Ramgarh: Acting on the instruction of deputy commissioner (DC) Rituraj, the salaries of 12 school headmasters were withheld on Saturday over poor results of their students in the Class 10 board exams, the results of which were recently declared by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), district education officer Neelum Kumari said.In addition, 64 schools were served show-cause notices and asked to submit clarification by Monday after the DC compared the results of govt schools with those of CBSE-affiliated private and public schools in Ramgarh, she added.There are 74 govt upgraded high schools and plus two schools in the district, of which 64 failed to achieve 100% results, and their performance was found to be between 68% and 99%.
