Daltonganj: The district administration has announced to hold Jan Samadhan Shivir (public redressal camps) every Wednesday to provide on spot resolutions to people’s grievances. Earlier, such camps were dubbed as Janta Darbar which has now been rechristened, said officials on Tuesday. Palamu DC Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat said that the camps will be solution-oriented.Land disputes are among the major concerns in Palamu. The DC said, “If the issues are related to the demarcation of land, there is no reason for cases to linger. But cases which are sub judice in court, it takes time.”The district administration, however, is battling manpower crunch, which may pose problems, said sources. For example, out of 20 posts of circle officers, 13 are pending. “There is definitely a shortage, but we try to perform with whatever human resources are available,” the DC added.
