Monteswar (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Saikat Panja of the BJP won the Monteswar assembly seat, defeating Anupam Ghosh (CPI(M)), Chowdhuri Siddiqullah (AITC), Jyotirmay Mondal (INC), Khokan Das (BSP), Saikat Dhani (IND), Samsul Hoque Seikh (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Somnath Malik (IND).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Chowdhury Siddiqullah, Bharatiya Janta Party Saikat Panja, Communist Party Of India (Marxist) Anupam Ghosh and others. In the last Monteswar Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Chowdhury Siddiqullah won by a margin of 31,805 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Saikat Panja was the runner up securing 73,655 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,33,626, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
