Kurseong (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Sonam Lama of the BJP won the Kurseong assembly seat, defeating Amar Lama (Bharatiya Gorkha Prajatantrik Morcha), Bandana Rai (IND), Mohan Sharma (IND), Saroj Kumar Khattri (INC), Sumendra Tamang (IND), Uttam Brahman (CPI(M)).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – Bharatiya Janta Party Bishnu Prasad Sharma (alias B.P. Bajgain), Independent Tshering Lama, Independent Narbu Lama and others. In the last Kurseong Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janta Party party’s Bishnu Prasad Sharma (alias B.P. Bajgain) won by a margin of 15,515 votes. The Independent’s Tshering Lama was the runner up securing 57,960 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,29,918, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
