Ranchi: A Bihar man has been arrested by CID from Mumbai for his alleged involvement in an international cyber slavery racket that trafficked job seekers from Jharkhand to cyberscam compounds in Myanmar, the department said on Wednesday. The arrest was made on the basis of a case registered at the cyber crime police station in Ranchi on Dec 9 last year.CID stated that Daud Ahmad, a native of Patna, was arrested with the help of local police from Dongri police station area in Mumbai on Monday. The accused, in connivance with associates based in India and abroad, lured youths by offering them lucrative overseas employment opportunities. Ahmad facilitated their travel and placement in cyber fraud centres, the CID alleged.
