Dumka: Police on Monday fished out the decomposed body of a man from a pond in Dumka. The man, who was not identified till evening, was spotted floating Khunta Bandh pond in town area by the locals in the morning. A police team, led by Sadar sub divisional police officer Vijay Kumar and Jagnnath Dhan, the officer-in-charge of Town police station, retrieved the body and sent it for postmortem examination to the Phulo Jhano Medical College and Hospital. “A pair of scissors and dendrite (adhesive) were found in the deceased’s hand, raising suspicions of drowning under the influence of intoxicants,” OC said. Police suspected that the person drowned a few days ago.
