Hazaribag: The district administration on Tuesday rolled out a chatbot to receive complaints related to drinking water supply during the summer months. Titled Neer Veer, the WhatsApp chatbot will enable citizens to register complaints and track them in real-time. Deputy commissioner (DC) Shashi Prakash Singh said the initiative has been introduced keeping in mind the possibility of water scarcity during summer. “The chatbot will allow citizens to report issues such as defunct or non-functional handpumps and track the status of their complaints in real time,” he said. Residents can lodge complaints by sending a message on WhatsApp to 8757864361 and selecting the available options. Additionally, complaints can also be registered through a dedicated helpline number 8076635024. Officials said the system has been designed to be simple and user-friendly, ensuring wider accessibility. “The administration expects the platform to enable quick response and resolution of drinking water-related grievances by the concerned departments,” the DC added.
