Hazaribag: Acting on directives of DC Shashi Prakash Singh and additional chief medical officer Dr Shashi Jaiswal, a food safety team conducted a surprise raid at a Barhi-based business firm on Tuesday, uncovering a large stock of expired mustard oil.Led by food safety officer Md Manjar Hussain, the team collected samples of multiple brands for chemical analysis at the state food testing laboratory in Namkum.During inspection, officials seized 813 tins and 144 bottles of expired mustard oil. The stock was immediately confiscated and sealed on the spot. Officials also found that the trader was operating without a valid food licence. Jaiswal confirmed the seizure and said legal action would be initiated under provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.
