Dhanbad: In a bid to enhance youth engagement with postal services, India Post has upgraded the sub-post office located within the IIT (ISM) Dhanbad campus into a modern, tech-enabled facility.The move aims to familiarise students and young individuals with the functioning and benefits of post office services while making the system more accessible and user-friendly. The upgraded sub-post office has been equipped with a range of modern amenities, including digital service facilities, Wi-Fi connectivity, a mini library, and comfortable seating arrangements to create a welcoming environment for visitors.In addition, the facility will support digital payment systems, ensuring seamless and efficient transactions. Traditional services such as speed post, parcel delivery, and e-commerce-related services will also be carried out using upgraded and modern methods.According to postal department officials, the initiative is specifically designed to attract the youth and encourage them to understand and utilise postal services effectively. The official inauguration of the modernised sub-post office is scheduled for Monday.Rupak Sinha, senior superintendent of post, expressed confidence that this initiative will help build a stronger connection between the younger generation and postal services, making India Post more relevant in the digital age.
