Masked criminals loot jewellery worth Rs 9.5 lakh from gold trader in Dumka
Patna, March 31 (IANS) Unidentified criminals brazenly defied law and order by carrying out a daring daylight robbery in Patna on Tuesday, looting gold and silver jewellery worth approximately Rs 4 lakh along with cash.​

Dumka: Four masked men looted jewellery worth nearly Rs 9.5 lakh from a gold trader on Wednesday evening in the Taljhari police station area of Dumka district. The incident occurred near Taljhari Haat, where four masked miscreants riding two motorcycles intercepted Dilip Kumar Sah.A resident of resident of Kushmaha village, Dilip was returning home from his shop on a bike when he was intercepted by two bikes. The men held Dilip and his relative Harinandan Sah, who was accompanying him, at gunpoint and took away the bag containing jewelleries.The stolen items included 2 kg of silver and 35 grams of gold jewellery with an estimated total value of Rs 9.5 lakh as per current market rates. “Raids are being conducted at suspected locations, and CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined to identify the culprits,” said a police officer.
