Chatra: Two persons were arrested with a large quantity of spurious liquor near Koura sub-health centre on Thursday.Alok Ranjan Choudhary, the officer-in-charge of Pratappur police station, said that the action followed after a tip-off by senior officials that smugglers were transporting illegal liquor to Bihar using vehicles. “Acting on the input, police intensified surveillance on the route and kept a close watch on suspicious vehicles which resulted in success,” he said.Those accused were identified as Sonu Kumar and driver Prince Kumar. Both are residents of Manatu in Palamu. The seizures included multiple brands and quantities of IMFL and beer.
