Habibpur (st) (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Joyel Murmu of the BJP won the Habibpur (st) assembly seat, defeating Amal Kisku (AITC), Babulal Hasda (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Baburam Kisku (IND), Basudev Murmu (CPI(M)), Bimal Murmu (SUCI(C)), Lakhin Hembrom (IND), Manjla Mardi (IND), Nicholas Soren (Kamatapur Peoples Party (United)), Rajen Soren (INC).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – Bharatiya Janta Party Joyel Murmu, All India Trinamool Congress Prodip Baskey, Communist Party Of India (Marxist) Thakur Tudu and others. In the last Habibpur Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janta Party party’s Joyel Murmu won by a margin of 19,517 votes. The All India Trinamool Congress’s Prodip Baskey was the runner up securing 74,558 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,40,344, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
