Daltonganj: A booth under Bishrampur assembly constituency in Palamu district on Sunday recorded 100% completion of distribution, collection and digitisation of SIR enumeration forms.“BLO Sumitra Devi completed the exercise at booth no. 139, which has 542 electors,” said electoral registration officer Kundan Kumar, also the additional collector. “During the verification process, 2 electors were found absent, 24 had shifted, 10 were dead and 2 names were found duplicate. The BLO distributed enumeration forms, got them filled, collected the forms and then digitised them all,” added Kumar.Booth 139 has a unique status. It is located in a govt primary school at Beerbandha in Garhwa district. Kumar described it as a trans-border booth of Palamu district. Sources said the Majhiaon circle officer Kanak, also assistant electoral registration officer, played a key role in motivating Devi, who hails from the same block in Garhwa.District election officer and Palamu DC Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat hailed the “entire completion of SIR at booth 139 in a highly professional, meticulous and flawless manner”.
