Bokaro Man Missing for 45 Months Found Dead: Two Friends Arrested

Bokaro: Around 45 months after Khalid Ansari (32) of Baramsiya in Chandankyari went missing on June 14, 2022, his skeletal remains were recovered from a graveyard located under the Chira Chas police station limits on Monday. Two friends of the deceased have been arrested, SP Nathu Singh Meena said.Father of deceased Khalid, Noor Mohammad Ansari, filed a missing report with the police alleging that Khalid had married Hina Parveen of Alkusha in Chas Mufassil, in 2015. Domestic tensions reportedly escalated over the years, forcing him to shift to a rented accommodation at Gaush Nagar, near Parveen’s parental residence, and worked as a welder. On the day Khalid went missing, Hina allegedly informed his family members about the incident over phone. His mobile phone was later returned to Hina by some youths, while his motorcycle was found abandoned near Bharra graveyard, Noor further alleged.“During the case review, we noticed that the missing person complaint was still pending. A special investigation team was set up to probe the matter. Two residents of Gaush Nagar, Allauddin alias Guddu and Shamyuddin, were detained. During interrogation, they confessed that that they struck Khalid on the head with an iron rod during an altercation in a drunken state over money and a woman. They buried the body in the graveyard,” the SP said. The two accused have been sent to judicial custody, while forensic and DNA tests are being conducted on the recovered remains. Investigation is under way to establish the complete sequence of events and determine if others were involved in the case, police added.
