Cat and cobra stumble in a tense faceoff

The confrontation happened in a park in Zhoushan, a city in China’s Zhejiang province, according to a video posted by Accuweather. A cobra is seen, hood raised in a defensive display, squared off against a cat that apparently refused to back down. The snake struck at the cat several times, but the feline dodged every attempt.A passerby who saw the encounter captured it on video, and the footage quickly made its way onto social media. The clip shows the two animals face-to-face in ready-to-attack mode, sizing each other up warily, with the snake lunging and the cat swatting back, though neither one actually landed a hit.Thankfully, nobody got hurt. Both animals walked and slithered away without a scratch, and eventually the cobra gave up the fight altogether, retreating into the park.
