Bokaro: A dispute over an unpaid DJ bill of Rs 13,000 ended in a brutal killing of a 65-year-old Jageshwar Bhula following a heated argument on Monday evening in Kundi village under the Mansadih police outpost area in Giridih district. Police have arrested the accused and forwarded him to judicial custody on Tuesday.According to police, Bhula had a wedding at his residence a few months ago. A villager, Rama Kherwar, had arranged the DJ system on Bhula’s request. However, despite repeated reminders, the payment of Rs 13,000 was never made to the DJ operator. Kherwar eventually cleared the dues from his own pocket and has since been demanding reimbursement from Bhula. On Monday evening, Kherwar again visited Bhula’s house to recover the money. The discussion soon escalated into a heated altercation, which turned violent. Police said Kherwar picked up a wooden stick and struck Bhula on the head. The elderly man collapsed on the spot.A team from Mansadih OP later recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.“The accused was arrested from his residence late in the night and produced before a local court on Tuesday, which remanded him to judicial custody,” said officer in-charge Arvind Thakur.
