JEPC to honour board toppers on I-Day

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) has asked schools across the state to submit details of students who secured the top three positions in the Class X and Class XII board examinations of the JAC, CBSE, and ICSE for this year’s Pratibha Samman Samaroh. The meritorious students will be felicitated during the Independence Day celebrations on August 15.The selected students will receive cash prizes, laptops, mobile phones and study materials as part of the recognition.Officer in-charge of the JEPC, Manoj Kumar, said, “The Pratibha Samman Samaroh is meant to honour students who have secured the first, second, and third positions in the Classes 10 and 12 board examinations of the JAC, the CBSE, and the ICSE. We have requested schools to submit the names and details of all eligible students at the earliest so that no deserving student is left out of the felicitation.”This year, 12 students from the Class X examination conducted by the JAC are eligible for the honour as four students each secured the first, second, and third positions.Sunny Kumar of JAC-affiliated St Aloysius High School, Ranchi, who bagged the first position in Class X by scoring 99.6% and is preparing for JEE, said, “The recognition would motivate students to aim higher. Receiving such an honour from the state is a matter of pride. The study materials and other support that come with the award will be useful.”
