DUMKA: In a remarkable display of resilience, 16-year-old Md Faizanullah, a disabled student with cerebral palsy from Godda district, has secured 93.80% in the Class X board examinations, whose results were declared by the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Thursday.Marking a testament to his unyielding spirit, Faizanullah, a resident of Shivaji Nagar, writes with his mouth as he is unable to use his hands. “I never let my disability stop me. With hard work and god’s grace, I was able to succeed,” he said, beaming with pride after the results.Studying through a home-based education programme, he benefited from regular visits by teachers amid limited resources.He secured 98 in mathematics, 96 in Urdu, 93 in science, 92 in social science, 90 in Hindi, and 84 in English, earning all ‘A’ grades.He said that his family and mentors played pivotal roles in his journey to success. His father, Md Anwar Alam, and mother, Nazima, offered unwavering support, Faizanullah said.“We always believed in Faizan. Sseeing him top the district in his category fills our hearts with joy,” a jubilant Alam said.Teacher Jitendra Kumar Bhagat from the block resource centre, Godda, provided personalised home instructions to Faizanullah.“Faizanullah’s focus and positive attitude turned challenges into triumph, he is an inspiration for all students,” Bhagat said, adding that the student is interested in pursuing science in the future.
