Bokaro: Two persons, including a 12-year-old boy, were killed and four others were injured in lightning strikes at two places in Giridih district on Wednesday evening, officials said.The first incident took place near the Sakri river in Chandauri under Tisri police station limits. Aman Kumar, aged 12, and 26-year-old Noonmani Turi died after being struck by lightning, while Raju Kumar suffered severe burn injuries.In another incident at Chandauri Bagiya, three persons — Chandan Kumar, Charan Ravidas and Mohammad Aftab Ansari — suffered critical burn injuries in lightning strike after taking shelter in an open structure during heavy rain.“A child was among 2 killed in lightning strikes. Four injured persons are undergoing treatment,” said Rajendra Prasad, SDPO of Khori Mahua.The injured were initially treated at Tisri and Chandauri hospitals before being referred to Giridih for advanced care.
