Hazaribag: The father of an eight-year-old girl was killed, and four members of her family sustained injuries as they attempted to save her from getting electrocuted on Monday. The incident took place in Brahmoriya village under Chauparan police station limit of the district.Isha Kumari, 8, came in contact with a overhead live wire, a part of which had snapped and was lying near a well. Family members rushed to rescue her and kept in contact with the wire. Isha’s father Naresh Bhuiyan, 48, suffered a shock while trying to pull his daughter away. He was declared brought dead at the Chauparan community health centre.Police said besides Isha, Kunjiyan Devi, 50, Reena Devi, 45 and Bhuneshwar Bhuiyan, 60, were identified. One other injured was referred to Hazaribag in a critical condition.Pankaj Kumar, the officer-in charge of Chauparan police station, assured all help to the family of the deceased.
