NEET UG 2026: NTA eases admit card access, allows download before bank detail verification
The National Testing Agency has introduced a new facility enabling NEET UG 2026 aspirants to download their admit cards without immediately confirming bank account details linked to fee refunds. The move comes after candidates reported difficulties with the verification process ahead of the June 21 medical entrance examination.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has allowed candidates appearing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 to download their admit cards without immediately completing the review and confirmation of bank account details linked to examination fee refunds. The entrance examination is scheduled to be held on June 21.According to the NTA, admit cards for NEET UG 2026 were released on June 14. Since then, nearly 16 lakh candidates have successfully downloaded their hall tickets. However, the agency said some candidates were unable to complete the process of reviewing and confirming their bank account details for various reasons. As a result, several candidates approached the NTA seeking a mechanism that would allow them to access their admit cards without delay.

NTA introduces two options for candidates

In response to these requests, the NTA has introduced two options on the official NEET portal. Candidates can choose to download their admit card immediately and complete the review and confirmation of bank details for examination fee refunds at a later stage. Alternatively, they may first review and confirm their bank account details and then proceed to download the admit card. The agency said both options will be available through the official website and can be accessed using candidates’ login credentials.

Move aimed at preventing last-minute difficulties

The latest decision is aimed at ensuring that candidates do not face unnecessary hurdles in accessing their admit cards just days before the examination. With NEET UG being one of the largest entrance examinations in the country, the agency’s move is expected to streamline the process for candidates who have been unable to complete account-related formalities but still need to obtain their hall tickets before the test.
