Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) postponed after candidates raise concerns over exam date clash

Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) has been postponed to July 5 after a section of candidates protested against the clash of examination dates, officials said on Tuesday. The OTET, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), was originally scheduled to be held on June 28. However, candidates pointed out that the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) had also scheduled a recruitment examination for various posts on the same day.Taking the concerns of aspirants into account, the BSE decided to reschedule the OTET. Officials said the examination will now be conducted on July 5.According to the revised schedule, Paper-I will be held from 9 am to 11.30 am, while Paper-II will take place from 2 pm to 4.30 pm.The date clash arose after the OSSSC examination was moved from June 20 to June 28 due to administrative reasons. Following objections from candidates who planned to appear for both examinations, the BSE changed the OTET date to avoid any overlap.
