Ranchi: The Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) on Tuesday announced the schedule for the 65th State-Level Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament for the 2026-27 academic session from July 17.The five-day tournament will be held from July 17 to 21 at Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium in Khelgaon, Ranchi. Winning teams from all divisions of the state will participate in the competition, officials said.To ensure the smooth conduct of the event, divisional champions have been directed to report at the registration hall of Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium by 3 pm on July 16.Officials said teams delivering outstanding performances at the state-level event will earn the opportunity to represent Jharkhand in national-level competitions.Following the football championship, the state will organise the second State-Level Little Champs Football Tournament from July 23 to 25. The state-level Jawaharlal Nehru Hockey Tournament will then be held from July 29 to 31.JEPC said that the competitions form part of Jharkhand’s annual school sports calendar aimed at promoting sporting talent and strengthening grassroots sports development across the state.
