A spectacular collision occurred on NH-33 at Itkhori More when a truck filled with soft drinks crashed into a sponge iron trailer. The fiery aftermath was a visual spectacle, with both vehicles engulfed in flames and their contents scattered across the road. Miraculously, the drivers escaped without a scratch.
Hazaribag: A 14-wheeler truck collided head on with a trailer on NH-33 on Thursday leading to fire in both the vehicles. The incident occurred at Itkhori More in Padma block on NH-33. The truck was carrying a consignment of soft drinks from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh to Hazaribag, while the trailer was loaded with sponge iron material. Following the collision, goods spilled onto the road and caught fire. Both drivers managed to escape unhurt. Padma OP in-charge Sanchit Dubey said the fire was later doused by the fire brigade. Traffic on the highway was temporarily halted as a precaution, he added.
