Jamshedpur: Two men were arrested within six hours after a woman alleged that they raped her in a secluded area of East Singhbhum district. Police said the woman was found in a critical condition by the roadside early Thursday and was admitted to a hospital after a Dial-112 emergency call alerted them to the incident.SP (Rural) Shubham Kumar Khandelwal said police received the alert around 1am. A team rushed to the spot, took the woman into protective custody and shifted her to a hospital after a preliminary inquiry.In her statement, the survivor alleged that the two accused, who were known to her, took her on a motorcycle to a secluded spot, forced her to consume alcohol, assaulted her and raped her one after the other.Based on her statement, police registered an FIR, formed a special investigation team and arrested both accused within six hours.Police identified the accused, aged 38 and 28, as drivers. Empty liquor and beer bottles were recovered from the crime scene, while the motorcycle allegedly used in the crime and a mobile phone were seized.
