Two killed in Bokaro as speeding SUV collides with bike in Giridih

Bokaro: Two youths were killed as their motorbike collided with a speeding SUV under Tisri police station limits in Giridih district on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as Prince Yadav and Vivek Yadav, were residents of Rautdih village. The incident took place near Palmo village when the duo was returning to their homes from a local market, police said.Locals said the bike collided with the SUV which was coming from the opposite direction. “The collision was so severe that both were thrown nearly 20 feet from the point of impact. They were not wearing helmets,” said a local resident. Prince died on the spot, while Vivek succumbed to injuries during treatment at the local community health centre, police said.The bike and the SUV were seized, and the bodies were sent for postmortem examination. “Speeding may have led to the accident. The driver of the SUV fled the scene, and efforts are underway to trace him,” the officer – in charge of Tisri police station said.
