Islampur (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Agarwal Kanaia Lal of the AITC won the Islampur assembly seat, defeating Birendra Nath Sinha (SUCI(C)), Sourav Sarkar (IND), Rupa Sarkar (BSP), Neyaz Imam (IND), Md. Ziaul Haque Chowdhury (Aam Janata Unnayan party), Md. Tousique Reza (IND), Md Hashibur Rahaman (IND), Chitrajit Roy (BJP), Kamal Majumdar (IND), Md. Sami Khan (CPI(M)), Guddy Riaz (INC).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – All India Trinamool Congress Abdul Karim Chowdhary, Bharatiya Janta Party Saumyaroop Mandal, Indian National Congress Sadiqul Islam and others. In the last Islampur Assembly elections, the All India Trinamool Congress party’s Abdul Karim Chowdhary won by a margin of 37,440 votes. The Bharatiya Janta Party’s Saumyaroop Mandal was the runner up securing 62,691 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,04,047, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
