Kharagpur Sadar (West Bengal) Assembly Election Results 2026 Live: Dilip Ghosh of the BJP won the Kharagpur Sadar assembly seat, defeating Azfar Ali Khan (IND), Bishnu Kumar Sahu (IND), Dr. Papiya Chakraborty (INC), Gokul Khatick (BSP), Madhusudan Roy (CPI(M)), Pradip Sarkar (AITC), Suranjan Mahapatra (SUCI(C)), T. Anil Singh (Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party).
In the 2021 assembly elections, the candidates are as follows – Bharatiya Janta Party Hiranmoy Chattopadhyaya, All India Trinamool Congress Pradip Sarkar, Indian National Congress Reeta Sharma and others. In the last Kharagpur Sadar Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janta Party party’s Hiranmoy Chattopadhyaya won by a margin of 3,771 votes. The All India Trinamool Congress’s Pradip Sarkar was the runner up securing 75,836 votes.
The total electorate in this constituency is approximately 2,25,476, including male and female voters across urban and rural segments.
