West Singhbhum hosts workshop to boost board exam preparations

Jamshedpur: A district-level workshop aimed at sharpening preparations for board exams next year was held at Chaibasa in West Singhbhum on Saturday, which was attended by nearly 300 students from govt-run schools and their parents.Addressing the students at Tata College, deputy commissioner Manish Kumar said, “Disciplined routines, consistent study and daily writing practice can help this cohort become torchbearers who can redefine the district’s academic profile.”He stressed the pivotal role of teachers in creating an enabling academic environment and announced regular diagnostic tests under ‘Project Parakh: Taiyari Udaan Ki’ to reduce exam anxiety and sustain momentum.Porahat-Chakradharpur subdivisional officer Shruti Rajlaxmi said, “Education goes beyond marks, shaping informed, responsible citizens.”Interactive sessions helped students and parents discuss study strategy, time management, goal-setting, mental resilience and exam best practices.Officials outlined a road map for quality education, saying the project’s cycle of periodic assessments, feedback and mentorship will identify learning gaps early and personalise support at senior grades. West Singhbhum has 1,900 govt schools.Radha Tudu, who attended the workshop, said, “We got a clear picture on what avenues are open for us after we step out of schools.”Parents expressed satisfaction with the initiative and hoped more such workshops would be organised.
