Dumka: The income tax department on Saturday carried out simultaneous searches at the residences of the mukhiya of Balathar panchayat under Mohanpur block in Deoghar district. The operation was conducted at the Mukhiya’s residence in Mohanpur and Baijnathpur under the Kunda police station limits.Officials from Patna, Dhanbad, and Deoghar, started checks of the financial records, official documents and other relevant papers at both locations early in the morning amid tight security arrangements, sources said
